UPI Full Form Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is a payment system and it is a new form of digital payments in India UPI is a new form of digital payments in India. It is initiated by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), an RBI-regulated organisation, created UPI (Unified Payments Interface), an instant payment system. UPI is built over the IMPS infrastructure and allows you to transfer money between any two parties’ bank accounts instantly. PI-PIN (UPI Personal Identification Number) is a 4-6 digit passcode you create/set during first time registration with this App.
You have to enter this UPI-PIN to authorize all bank transactions. If you have already set up a UPI-PIN with other UPI Apps, you can use the same on BHIM. UPI Platform Please note that you can use BHIM, BHIM UPI, BHIM Android and BHIM iOS to transfer money between any bank accounts. In case you want to share money using other apps, it will be routed through BHIM App.

If the person has already linked their bank account with BHIM, you will get a UPI pin from the bank account as soon as the transaction is made. The transaction will be confirmed only when both parties confirm. Once the recipient successfully verifies the transaction, they will get an Rs. 20 confirmation.

To use the UPI app, first set up a bank account with which you wish to be a part of UPI. Add your bank account to the App. Enable the UPI option and log in with your UPI-PIN. Use the Inbuilt Payment Setup Tool to generate a Payment Request Code (PRC) & Credit / Debit Card Code. Set the phone on Payment Reservation and select the e-commerce option.
You will then need to enable UPI Payments mode in the payment app, if not already there. You will then have to set up a Merchant Account by selecting the Merchant tab in the App. Choose Merchant Settings, Set a Payment Mode and add a payment provider such as Google Wallet. You can also request the UPI provider to send a token of your debit/credit card to add to your bank account and complete the setup.

From your BHIM app, go to Settings -> Incoming Money -> Direct Debit Tap add payment Enter the bank account information, beneficiary/ID, and amount to be transferred Enter another account number for sending payment to the beneficiary. Please verify that the beneficiary has received the money and tap on sending money.
