How to Prepare for RPF SI and Constable?

Every year, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) recruits eligible candidates for the post of Sub- Inspector & Constable in Railway Protection Special Force and Railway Protection Force. The selection will be based on the computer-based test (CBT) for both SI and Constable. The CBT exam for both SI and Constable is the same but the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) can vary for SI and Constables. Candidates must opt for a unique preparation strategy and must start their preparation prior four to five months before the exam to clear the exam with flying colors. Here we provide some preparation tips which help candidates to perform well in SI and Constable exam in RPF.

Analyze the Latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern

Before starting the preparation for the exam, it is important to have a clear understanding of the latest syllabus and exam pattern. Understanding the syllabus and exam pattern helps candidates to make a study plan and prepare accordingly. Candidates must strictly follow the study plan, which helps in smart preparation.

Analyze the Ongoing RRB Recruitment Exams

Candidates must carefully analyze the various exams conducted by RRB recently. There is a high chance of asking those questions in the upcoming exams. Not just Railways, try to prepare questions from other government exams such as SSC, IBPS etc.

Attempt Mock Tests

Take mock tests on a daily basis while preparing for the exam. This helps you to learn time management and to know your preparation level. Analyze the results after each mock to find out your weak areas and strengthen them with practicing and learning.

Enhance Time Management Skills

Candidates must have a clear idea about the order of attempts and time management while appearing for the RPF SI and Constable exam. Practicing mock tests helps candidates to enhance their time management skills. Order of attempts and time management are very important aspects to score good marks in the exam.

Study, Practice, and Revision

Candidates must give equal importance to study, practice and revision. After completing one topic or a complete syllabus candidates must give time to practice and revise. If you do not revise the previously completed topics while preparing other concepts there are chances that you may forget what you have studied earlier. So prepare a study plan giving sufficient time to study, practice, and revise.

Give Equal Importance to Each Section

In RPF CBT the general awareness section takes a total of 50 questions out of 120. Hence never give the least importance to the other sections Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning. Give equal importance to each section this helps you to score better.

Practice, practice, and practice.

Practice is the key mantra to score good marks in the RPF CBT exam. Pick a good practice test series or avail free mock test, online practice sets, and other study materials from online platforms like Entri to crack the RPF Sub Inspector & Constable Exam.
Stay confident and follow these simple steps to reach closer to your dream job.
