In the year February 2018, he was named as the captain of Rajasthan Royals for the IPL, and following his admission of involvement in the Australian test series in March 2018, he was banned by Cricket Australia due to his involvement in the ball-tampering incident. As a member of 2018, he was retained by Rajasthan Royals for the 2019 IPL, and as per the latest IPL auction, he remained unsold.


 Playing style: Steve Smith is considered to be the right-handed batsman with a technique that has attracted the attention of experts in the industry because he moves around frequently in degrees and especially during the run-up of the bowlers.
