The Five Sheffield Pubs With The Best Non-Alcoholic Offerings

The Sheffield pub scene has always been a good one, but we’re often more interested in what alcoholic beers are on offer. However, what about the zero percent options?

Dry January is always an interesting experiment, largely to see whether you can do it, or perhaps even whether you do believe you need help with alcohol or not, but it’s also good to see where in the city has the best alcohol-free beer options available.

More and more people are shunning beer for non-alcoholic alternatives, while the number of people going through addiction treatment and into recovery is on the rise. But where are the best places in Sheffield to go if you want to enjoy the many alcohol free beers available today?

The Beer Engine

Located in the heart of Sheffield, the Beer Enginge has a great selection of non-alcoholic beers to choose from. Some of the non-alcoholic beers on offer include BrewDog Nanny State, Big Drop Pale Ale, and Lucky Saint. The latter has become hugely popular in recent years, and is certainly one of the best on the market at present.

The Devonshire Cat

The Devonshire Cat is, as we know, one of the finest pubs in the city. And while its range of alcoholic beers are always tip top, so are the non-alcoholic beers on offer. Some of those on the menu include the Big Drop Stout, BrewDog Punk AF, and the Erdinger Alkoholfrei. The pub also has a great food menu, with a range of vegetarian and vegan options available. A perfect spot to head with friends for any type of drink you want.

The Gardeners Rest

The Gardeners Rest is a community-run pub located in Neepsend, and it has a great selection of non-alcoholic beers on offer. There’s the standard BrewDog options, which seem to be in most pubs these days, as well as your Erdinger, described as an energy drink – it still tastes good though. They also have a number of other options too, and it’s always worth asking to see what they’ve got going on in the fridges.

The Rutland Arms

Another city centre boozer now, The Rutland Arms is a popular pub and you’ll find the likes of Nanny State, Big Drop Pale Ale and St Peter’s Without Gold behind the bar, to name a few. Relatively close to the station, it’s a perfect first (or second if you want the Sheffield Tap) port of call after arriving in the city.

West Bar Tap

Located in the Kelham Island area of Sheffield, West Bar Tap is one of a number of great places to drink alcohol free in the area. Formerly known as the Bar Stewards, it’s a trendy haunt with tons of craft breweries’ zero percent options. The perfect place to start a Kelham Island alcohol free bar crawl…
